Leather & Suede Cleaning

Leather & Suede Cleaning on the Gold Coast

Specialist care for leather jackets, coats, handbags, gloves and suede garments. Dedicated leather clean with conditioning, plus optional colour restoration as a separate service.

What we clean

From soft lambskin jackets to structured handbags, we handle leather garments and accessories using a dedicated cleaning system separate from regular dry cleaning.

Leather jackets and coats

Smooth leather, lambskin, nappa and aniline finishes. Cleaned, conditioned and pressed.

Suede and nubuck

Brushed-finish leathers — handled with a gentler process to protect the nap and texture.

Handbags and accessories

Designer and everyday bags, belts and small accessories. Designer pieces treated with extra care.

Gloves and small items

Driving gloves, dress gloves and small leather pieces. Often overlooked but easy to clean alongside larger items.

Our process

Leather is cleaned in a dedicated specialist process — never mixed with regular dry cleaning — so finishes, dyes and linings are protected.

  1. 1
    Inspection
We check leather type, finish, age, lining condition, stitching and any existing stains or damage. You'll hear from us if we see anything that affects the result.
  2. 2
    Dedicated leather clean
Specialist cleaning matched to the leather type. Suede and nubuck go through a gentler cycle to preserve the nap; smooth leathers and structured bags use a finish-appropriate process.
  3. 3
    Conditioning and finish
Leather is conditioned to restore suppleness and protect against drying. Final press and shape check before pickup.

Colour restoration and recolouring

Colour restoration is offered as a separately-priced service, not included in the standard leather cleaning fee.

Faded jackets, scuffed handbags or sun-affected suede can often be brought back closer to original colour. Suitability depends on the finish and condition — heavily cracked or worn pieces may not hold colour evenly.

Bring the item in for an inspection and we'll quote both cleaning and recolouring before any work starts. Call 07 5539 9963.

A note on older or fragile leather

Quality leather generally cleans well. Older pieces, lower-grade or bonded leather, and items that have dried out from long storage carry more risk — colour transfer, minor shrinkage or stiffening can occur and aren't always preventable. This is a known industry limitation, not a fault of the process.

We assess every item before starting and will contact you if we see signs of risk, so you can decide whether to continue or cancel at no charge.

Domestic and commercial

We clean leather for households across the Gold Coast and regularly handle leather uniforms, jackets and accessories for hotel, hospitality and corporate clients. Talk to our business team about ongoing arrangements.

Frequently asked

How much does leather cleaning cost?

Pricing depends on the garment type, condition and any optional conditioning or recolouring. Call us for a firm quote — we'll inspect the item and give you a price before any work starts.

Can you remove water stains from a leather jacket?

Often yes, but it depends on age, finish and how deeply the water has set into the grain. Water marks on suede and nubuck are easier to address than on heavily finished leather. We inspect and tell you honestly what we expect to achieve before starting.

Will cleaning shrink or stiffen my leather?

Quality leather generally comes back soft and pliable after our process, which includes conditioning. Lower-grade or bonded leather, and very old or dried-out pieces, carry more risk of stiffening or minor shrinkage. We assess the item first and contact you before proceeding if we see signs of age-related risk.

Can you recolour a faded leather jacket?

Colour restoration is offered as a separately-priced service after cleaning. Suitability depends on the leather finish — smooth leathers and some suedes respond well, while heavily worn or cracked pieces may not hold colour evenly. Ask for an inspection and quote.

How long does leather cleaning take?

Typical turnaround is 2–3 weeks. Items with conditioning or recolouring add-ons may take longer. Ask for a timeline estimate when you book.

Do you clean leather handbags and accessories?

Yes — handbags, belts, gloves and small leather accessories are all handled. Designer or vintage pieces are treated with extra care. Bring them in to any store for inspection and a quote.
